It is anticipated that when the knowledge acquired from the training is put into use, new farmers will have all the ammunition to make a success out of the farm and existing farmers will move from subsistence to commercial farming.
Main curriculum
3-day course (8am to 5pm) providing knowledge on farm preparation, animal management, feed and health management, teaching best farmers practices and benefits of record keeping, and teaching farmers simple methods for assessing and evaluating costs and benefits.
