Broiler HatcheryCFH starts with the existing annual setter (incubator) capacity of 453,600 fertile breeding eggs, which results in at least 21,318 live chicks every 3 weeks. Based on demand setter capacity will be doubled in the course of 2026 and in 2027 further expansions will be done to reach full capacity, so that well over 1.51 million fertile breeding eggs annually can be set. This will result in 72,690 live chicks every 21 days.
Our goal is in line with the government of Ghana’s “Nkoko Nkitinkiti” initiative which aims at domestic production, which will decrease poultry imports and create local employment, therefore improving livelihoods.

Current status of Ghana's poultry industry
|
The Ghanaian poultry market is currently booming, about 80% of all day-old chicks are imported from Europe. This indicates that there is a ready market in Ghana and gives CFH a realistic chance to start making a difference.
The issue with locally produced doc’s is the quality of chicks; CFH focuses on producing doc's without any constraint to quality at an affordable price and strong market strategy.
