CFH will start with the existing annual setter capacity of 455,760 fertile breeding eggs, which results in at least 22,690 live chicks every 3 weeks. In Q3-2026 the capacity will be doubled and in Q2-2027 further expansions will be done to reach full capacity, so that well over 1.51 million fertile breeding eggs annually can be set. This will result in at least 72,690 live chicks every 21 days. Our goal is in line with the government of Ghana’s “Nkoko Nkitinkiti” initiative which aims at domestic production, therefore mitigating poultry imports and creating local imployment, therefore increasing livelihoods. |

Current status of Ghana's poultry industry

The Ghanaian poultry market is currently booming, about 80% of all day-old chicks are imported from Europe. This indicates that there is a ready market in Ghana. This will give CFH a realistic chance to start reducing imports in Ghana. The issue with locally produced doc’s is the quality of birds; CFH focuses on producing a product without any constraint to the quality at an affordable price and strong market strategy. |
